RAILWAY SMASH.—This view of the scene cf Saturday’s railway disaster near Ratana Station shows how the carriages Jay alongside the engine in the cutting, the banks of which prevented the carriages from rolling outwards from the wrecked locomotive. AT ST. MORITZ.—W. M. L. Fiske competing for the Beatrice Cartwright Cup on the Cresta Run at St. Moritz. Fiske won the trophy with runs averaging 57 seconds. WRECKED!—This railway carriage went past the wrecked locomotive in the accident on Saturday morning, and was found well ahead of it.
