PIXIE PEOPLE: Sea Page next iveck, my dear ones and I hope your paint boxes are filled with blues and greens and corals, because "Swastika" came to the Fairy Ring the other day with a Picture-underthe-Sea for you all to colour. It has long and wavy seaweed fronds m it, and a distant sea-palace, and a mermaid with a shiny-scaly tail. . . and a whole garden of sea-anemones and starfish all around and about. "Sivaslika" it was ivho dreiv the swinging child for your last painting, so you already know her delicate work. I think the little Mermaid will make a dainty picture. . . . It ivas fun to hear about the Valentines. They're so easy to make, and it's exciting to discover new rhymes all by yourself to print on the small cards. Did you hear tales of other St. Valentine's Days when you had your surprises ready, last Sunday morning? My love to all of you, liule Pixie People. 0 ... and a thankyou for the sea-stories and poems and pictures I've found this iveek in the Postie's bag. FAIRIEL.

Winter-time is t-party-time, and "Sunray Sally" has sketched this1 little scene for you to colour. Brightest crimson'and blue for the balloons, please, and whichever colours you like best for the party frocks. 1 x,. > terest around you. There's a wealth of subjects for penfriends' letters in New Zealand; in this Centenary year. How much luckier¥ we are than GrandmotJier when she ivas a little girl. Imagine i ivaiting fbr months for a clipper ship to bring ' an ansiver lo your letter or several weeks for a southern letter to 7each a friend in the north! flow Postie's whistle shrills surprise ingly soon, for aeroplanes aj\(fc fast steamers carry your, letters X half-way round the world in' two short iveeks and back speed the – replies. The fairy-tale of' the magic carpet has almostcome true! And here we are watching our own letterbox and looking forward to your next iveek's letters. Letterbox Elf, too, sends his love to every mushroom. ■ FAIRIEL. P.S.—If inter Page is very, very near. Will you please post all your stories and drawings very soon?—F.

Snow White of the fairy tale, with her Prince Charming, her seven adorable dwarfs, and all her little forest friends, has come to town. There's not a child of the Fairy Ring who hasn't read about Snow White and who does not know those delightful, dumpy dwarfs by name. Tonight we have Snow Wlujte and Prince Charming in the Ring. Will you colour their picture, above, and send your painting to the Ring by next Saturday, December 24? All boys and girls of sixteen and under may enter. Even if you are quite small, don't despair of winning a prize, for the work of small ones will -be given special attention. Six double tickets for "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" will be given as prizes to the six best artists, and sets of coloured cards of the dwarfs to the next bests. The paintings will be judged by Fairiel and the management of the King's Theatre, who have donated the prizes. Remember, entries must reach "The Fairy Ring, 'Evening Post/ " by next Saturday.
