LIGHT HORSE CLUB

SUCCESSFUL RIBBON DAY The Hamilton Light Horse Club held the second of "Ribbon” Days at Mr J. Paterson’s Horotiu paddock in fine weather and drew a good average attendance of competitors and visiting friends. To make earlier termination possible a second ring was operated and in this the novelty events were conducted. Cups for the day, awarded for highest aggregate points in the three sections, were donated by Messrs J. F. Vercoe, Alfred Totman and T. S. Maskew. The successful competitors were:— Seniors: F. McKeon (after a tie with E. Anderton had been decided); intermediate, Gary Rogers; junior, three competitors tied in this section, viz., Revel Rogers, Allan Starnes and Miss J. D'Arcy Smith. The winner has yet to be decided. Mr J. E. Powell acted as judge. Details of the individual events are as follows: Seniors.—Best hack: G. Snodgrass 1, H. Wilson 2, T. Crampton 3. Best hunter: E. Anderton 1, J. Y. Wyllie 2. D. Bloore 3. Cleverest hunter: E. Anderton 1, J. R. Rogers 2, Miss B. Paterson 3. Bending: F. McKeon 1, Miss B. Paterson 2, R. Paterson 3. Musical sticks: F.
