WINTHROP AT STUD Of special interest to breeders in the Waikato Is the acquisition by Mr B. Jarden, or the well-known American-bred Racing stallion, Winthrop, who will be standing the season at Ruakura. Lasi season Wlnthrop was leased by the Wellington Trotting Club and stood the season at Wellington, prior to which he was located at Mr J. R. McKenzie’s studi at Canterbury. Reports or the quality or bis first foals are distinctly flattering Mr Jarden secured Winthrop for his own stud, which he is establishing in the Waikato shortly and he is offering private breeders the opportunity or the services or the stallion this season. He was acquired at a high figure by Mr Jarden rrom Mr J. R. McKenzie.
