AIRMAN ADMITS THEFT
YEAR’S PROBATION IMPOSED For the theft from a fellow airman of a wallet containing £7 15s in money and miscellaneous papers of | a total value of £9 10s, Noel Liv- j ingstone Miller, aged 22, of the Cen- j tral Air Force Camp, Hamilton, was j placed on probation for one year j when he appeared before Mr S. L. 1 Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s J Court, Hamilton, today. The accused j pleaded guilty. Constable M. J. Ross read a state- ! ment in which accused stated he had committed the offence while suffering from a bout of depression, the ; result of concussion received some j years ago. He had destroyed the wallet in a fire. A representative of the air force ! said that Miller had recently returned from overseas and his records were not available. However, his j section reported that he was a Scdis- ! factory worker. Miller was ordered to make restitution of £9 10s.
