Mr P. Hayvsce. of Christchurch, who had intended setting up a racing stable at Te Rapa, in charge of D. Cotton, has decided to retire from racing and the five horses brought up to this centre are to be offered at auction at the stables occupied by the late J. F. Tutchen. on Friday, October 6. The team comprises Foxchase (Foxbridge—Senorita). Hippodrome (Ringmaster—Drax), Te Awe Awe (Lord Quex —Isoline). Good Fun (Nightly —Cheerful Lady). Leighon’s Glory (Leighon—Lady Pym). Some Sing (Nigger Minstrel—Some Queen), and Tigreterre (Tractor —Tigritiya). Racing gear, covers, etc., will also be offered. The sale is to be conducted by Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited.
