TRUCK DRIVER INJURED

COLLISION WITH POLE Spinal injuries which resulted in h*s admission to the Waikato Hospital were received by Mr Anthony Bradford, aged 29, of 67 Colombo Street, Frankton, when a heavy truck he was driving struck a telephone pole at Eureka yesterday afternoon. Mr Bradford’s condition this morning was reported to be satisfactory. The truck was owned by Messrs McKendrick Bros, Hamilton, and was returning from Morrinsville. Mr Bradford swerved to avoid an approaching car, the truck leaving the road and striking a telephone pole, which was smashed. Telephone communication was interrupted for several hours as a result. The truck was extensively damaged.
