AIR FATALITY
AUCKLAND OFFICER KILLED WELLINGTON, Friday An Auckland officer lost his life in an aircraft accident at about 9.25 a.m. today. He was Flying-Officer Philip Robert Colfox Clark. Flying-Officer Clark was the pilot of a fighter which, while climbing shortly after taking off from the Ohakea air force station, was seen to become out of control. The pilot abandoned the aircraft, but his height was insufficient to allow his parachute to open. Flying Officer Clark was the third son of Mr and Mrs B. E. Clark, of Kohimarama, Auckland.
