£541,797 FOR DISTRICT LOW INVESTMENTS YESTERDAY Yesterday was a poor day for investments in the Victory Loan in the Waikato-King Country area. The day’s total was only £13,620 18s lOd, a figure that has been exceeded on several occasions by Hamilton itself. Yesterday’s investments from Hamilton were £4583 15s, slightly more than half of the total for the rest of the district, £9037 3s lOd. To date Hamilton’s investments total £194,096 17s 2d, and from the rest of the district has come £347,701 0s 7d, making an aggregate for the whole area of £541,797 17s 9d. Among investments received yesterday were £IOO from the Hamilton Rotary Club, £ISOO from Messrs E. C. Day, Limited, and £SOO from the staff of Messrs E. C. Day, Ltd. Victory Bond Waggon

Victory Bond Waggon An event in the Victory Loan campaign in Hamilton next week will be the visit of the Victory Bond Waggon together with a number of talented artists. The bond waggon will arrive from Cambridge on Monday evening. For Tuesday, at 12.30 p.m., a special welcome by the chairman of the Waikato—King Country Loan Committee, Mr T. H. Melrose, has been arranged. It will take place in Garden Place.
