Gunman is an acceptor for the open sprint at Paeroa on Saturday and is not without prospects. Bronze Night and Bueno came home the last three furlongs of their work In 44 4-SS. Quination, who Is to contest the Hlkutala Hurdles at paeroa on Saturday, was restricted over a round. AUCKLAND, Tuesday Although the track was In good order but on the dead side and candidates for the Thames meeting were given their final gallops there was not a great deal doing at Ellerslie this morning. The best half mile was credited to Rara Avis, the son of Bronze Eagle leaving the distance behind in 525. Tiger Tan and Foxsen strode round to the hair mile and came home in 545, with Tiger Tan going the better of the pair. Both horses are in the pink or condition. Sir Dingle strode over a round, being timed to run his last six furlongs in 1.26 1-5. In a similar task Billy Peach beat Dependable in 1.51, the last six furlongs taking 1.24 2-5. Embassy impressed by beating Wee Mite over five furlongs In 1.8 1-5, doing it easily.
