COX Flying-Officer John Grant Cox, R.N.Z.A.F., who was earlier reported missing, is now officially posted as missing, believed killed. Flying-Of-ficer Cox was a son of Mr and Mrs John B. Cox, Te Rapa, and was barn .at Cambridge about 22 years ago. He received his secondary education at the Hamilton Technical High School, and joined the staff of Darien’s Radio, Hamilton. He joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force in May, 1942, and about six months later went to Canada for further training, where he gained his wings and a commission, and married a Canadian girl. Fpr some time he was flying seaplanes on the Transport Command and later was an instructor. He went early this year to Britain and was flying bombers until he was reported missing on operations. Cox, of Hamilton, has just completed his training in New Zealand. Mrs Cox, mother of the two airmen, is a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Air stationed at Te Rapa.
