CAST FOR “THE ARCADIANS”

The following: cast has been chosen for the Hamilton Operatic Society’s production of "The Arcadians,” which will open a week's season on Monday, October 9: Peter Doody, Elton Black; Sombra, Kathleen Salter; Eileen Cavanagii, Pat Seddon; Mrs Smith, Shirley Burton; £implicitas, Stanley James; Jack Meadows, John Withers; Sir George Paddock, Hugh Morton; Bobby, Arthur Penney; Time, William Trenberth; Amaryllis, iris Aiken; Chrysea, Coraiie O’Connor; Dyrope, Joan Plnrold; Strephon, Dick Gladding; Damoetas, Airini Sergei; Daphne, Madge Parkes; Astrophel, Cyril Stamp; Lady Barclay, Olga Black; Reggie, David Mead; James Dawson, Artnur Mead; James Withers, Frank Gore; sandy Watson, Will Jackson; Rose Girl, Patricia Patterson.

Howard Moody, who will be guest conductor, Is a musician of note, whose association with the J. C. Williamson and Fuller, managements extended over many years. He is an organiser under the A.EAV.S. He was music director for the Invercargill Operatic Society when it presented “The Arcadians” some years ago.

Ailsa Docherty is ballet mistress, and Margaret Scrimshaw solo dancer.
