WEDDINGS

BLUETT—BUTLER The wedding was solemnised recently at St. George’s Church, Frankton, between Avon Yvonne, second daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Bluett, Frankton, and Captain Grahame Butler (on furlough, 2nd N.Z.E.F.), eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. Butler, England. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a charming gown of white georgette over white satin, her long train being heavily embroidered with a true lovers’ knot. The veil fell from a halo of white daisies draping her shoulders. Her bouquet was of white spring flowers. The bride was attended by Miss Hazel Butler, who wore a frock of blue taffeta with blue head-dress in similar lines to that of the bride, also carried a toning bouquet of spring flowers. The best man was Captain Arthur Locket (returned 2nd N.Z.E.F.), of Cambridge. A reception was later held at the home of the bride’s parents, where the guests were entertained by the bride’s mother.
