Tompkins, New Zealand Artillery, has been posted to the retired list with the rank of major, as from September 1, 1944, according to the Gazette. Lieutenant (temporary Captain) G. M. Watson, Waikato Regiment, is posted to the retired list with the rank of captain, dating from September 2, 1944. 41
