EXHIBITIONS FOR TROOPS (Received April 12. 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, April 11 The heavyweight boxing champion, Joe Louis, now a staff-sergeant in the United States Army, has arrived in Brilain to give a series of boxing exhibitions for the Allied troops. “I am here under orders from the War Department,” said Louis. “I hoped to get a chance to fight with a gun when I entered the army. Maybe they will let me put on an exhibition in Berlin some day.” He said that there could not be any question of meeting any possible contender for the title during the war It is officially stated that Louis will not make public appearances.
