AUCKLAND TOTAL £396,663 (By Telegraph.—rrcs« Association) AUCKLAND, Wednesday The Mayor and Chief Warden, Mr J. A. C. Allum, said at the annual meeting of the Auckland Emergency Precautions Service this morning that the estimated net expenditure for the current financial year was £8163, which would enable a substantial reduction to be made in levies on local bodies. The major work now was cleaning up. Since its inception the Auckland metropolitan organisation had expended £396,663, of which contributing local bodies had provided £140,452. The major portion of the cost had been met by a Government subsidy.
