R.—Mrs M. Shaw, Hamilton j (mother). 'FLIGHT-SERGEANT A. D. HARRIS j Previously reported missing on air j operations Flight-Sergeant A. D. ! Harris, fifth son of Mr and Mrs F. J. | Harris, of Huntly, has now been offij cially listed as missing, believed kill- ! ed. Advice has also been received ! by his parents from the International j Red Cross, through the German offij cials, stating that he was reported : killed on August 13 last year. Born j at Te Awamutu 23 years ago, Flight- ! Sergeant Harris received his school- | ing at the Huntly public school. He j left New Zealand in November, 1941, j and went to Canada, where he ! obtained his wings. He left for Eng- ! land in October, 1942, and early in j January last year commenced night j flying in Lancaster bombers. He had j been engaged on operational flying i since March last year, and took part lin several raids over Germany. He I 'was promoted to flight-sergeant in | June of last year. A brother, Driver i R. G. Harris, has been serving in the : Middle East for nearlv three years, ; and another brother, Private " Eric i Harris, is also serving overseas.
