GERMANY NOT BEATEN YET (Received April 11, 1 p.m.) PERTH, April 11 “Anybody who gave a precise date for the defeat of Germany had no knowledge of the facts,” said Dr. Thomas Wood, the British composer and author, who is visiting Australia on a special Government mission. “Germany is still immensely strong,” added Dr. Wood. “We have yet to meet the German army in force. We shall beat Germany and Japan all the quicker if we continue to plan for a long war.”
