CANADA’S NAVY

WARSHIPS FROM BRITAIN OTTAWA, Sept. 23 Canada received six destroyers from Britain in 1943, and will receive two cruisers, and possibly aircraftcarriers in 1944, said Mr Angus Macdonald, Minister of the Navy, speaking at St. John, New Brunswick. He expressed the hope that the Royal Canadian Navy would never be reduced to its insignificant pre-war status.
