DARING BRITISH RAID
ALBANIAN PORT ATTACKED (Received Sept. 25, 1 p.m ) LONDON, Sept. 24 British motor torpedo-boats carried out a daring raid on Tuesday night against enemy shipping in the Gulf of Valona, southern Albania. Four torpedo-boats, after crossing the Adriatic Sea, ran the gauntlet of fire from shore batteries and entered the They sank a merchantman laaen with ammunition and a small ship and scored torpedo hits on two other, vessels. One torpedo-boat was damaged by battery Are but was able to return to its base with the other craft.
