OBITUARY

MR W. BARRINGTON MILLER (By Telegraph—Press Association) GISBORNE, Wednesday The death occurred this morning of Mr W. Barrington Miller, aged 74. Starting in business in Gisborne in a small way many years ago, he became active in theatrical production. Going to Sydney in 1912 he became general manager of Union Theatres, Limited, and director of Australian Films, Limited. After several visits to America he went to England in 1919, retiring from active participation in the business he had created but maintaining financial and personal interest in it. Since returning to Gisborne shortly after the outbreak of war he had been a liberal benefactor to many local institutions.
