COUNCIL OF WOMEN

| The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the National i Council of Women was held at the | Lyceum Club on Tuesday, March 12. The president was in the chair ! and there was a very good attendance of members. Amongst other business the following matters were brought forward and discussed—the provision of adequate accommodation for workers in the event of the opening of further essential industries, hospitality for service girls passing through Hamilton, the desirability of the formation of a social hygiene association in New Zealand, and several local matters including the provision of extra seats at the bus stops at the railway crossing 1 and the possibility of the re-intro-duction of red cap porters at Frankton station.
