QUOTATIONS ADVANCE A small entry of ox beef sold under keen competition at ihp Frankton stock sale today and prices advanced on last week’s quotations. Cow and heifer beef was penned in smaller numbers than usual and prices ruled on a par with last week. There was a heavy yarding of fat pigs which sold under keen competition, while a medium yarding or store pigs incited keener competition than last week. rrlme medium weight bullocks sold from £l3 to £l3 10s: light prime, £ll 19s to £l2 12s 6d; light and unfinished to £11; prime medium weight heifers, £8 15S to £9 105; tight prime. £S to £8 105; others to £7 1 os; heavy p/ime cows, £8 10s to £9 ss; medium weights, £7 to £8; light and unfinished, to £fi 10s. Sheep: Extra prime shorn wethers, 295; fat shorn wethers, 28s . 6d; unfinished wethers, 26s 6d; extra prime shorn ewes, 15s; fat shorn, 14s; unfinished, 12s 6d; fat lambs. 255.
