DESERTING SOLDIERS

SENTENCES PROMULGATED (By Telegraph.—ureas Association) AUCKLAND, Wednesday Sentences of 60 days and 28 da3 r s’ imprisonment without hard labour imposed by a district court-martial on Gunners S. F. Hunter and T. J. Murray, respectively, have been confirmed by Brigadier P. H. Bell, D. 5.0., officer convening the court, and were promulgated today. Both men are members of the 9th Heavy Regiment (Artillery). Hunter was charged with breaking out of barracks, desertion and losing by neglect articles valued at £1 14s lOd. Murray was charged with desertion.
