MUNICIPAL POLLS
ELECTION THIS WEEK 20 CANDIDATES FOE COUNCIL SIX POLLING BOOTHS With two candidates for the Mayoralty and 20 aspirants for the 12 seats on the Hamilton Borough Council, all residents of Hamilton will have the opportunity of selecting their representatives for the next three years at the municipal polls next Saturday. The only qualifications required to vote are to be a ratepayer or a resident of over three months’ duration, although, of course, it is necessary for the voter to be on the roll. At the same time as the election for the Mayoralty and councillors polls will be held for the Waikato Hospital Board and the Auckland Harbour Board. This year the polls will close at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. as formerly. Polling booths in Hamilton will be at the following points:— Drill Hall. Knox Street. Whitiora School. Mill Street. Pearson’s Hall, Cook Street. Masonic Hall. River Road. Public Hall, Frankton. Methodist Hall, Maeroa.
