The latest Bank or England returns are: Issue Department.—Notes in circulation, £•"0,960,000; notes in the hanking- department, £20,000,000; other Government securities, £015.700,000; other securities, £2,'800.000; silver coin, £500,000. Rankin? Department.—Rest, £3.500,000; public deposits, £14.500,000; bankers’ deposits, £123,400,000; other accounts, £48,700,000: Government securities, £lsl ,- 800,000; discounts and advances, £8,900,000; other securities, £22,400,000; notes and coin, £21,500,000. Ratio ol' reserve to liabilities, 11.5 G per cent. The Rank or England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per rent.
