Joel McCrea and Barbara Stanwyck are to co-star in “ The City That Never Sleeps,” a story of the American motor industry, based on a novel called “ F. 0.8. Detroit.” Keye Luke has been signed by Monogram to appear in a series of detective pictures on Charlie Chan lines. The first is called “ Phantom of China Town.” Frank Lloyd, director of “ Mutiny on the Bounty,” is preparing another film based on the exploits of Captain Bligh. It will continue Bligh’s story after the mutiny, and during his later life in Australia. Edward G. Robinson is to play in a remake of “ The Sea Wolf,” for Warners. The film, based on a story by Jack London, had Hobart Bosworth as star in the original version.
