SEARCH BEING MADE NAVY AND AIR FORCE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 24, 3.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 24 The Minister of the Navy officially announced last night that on Tuesday night a wireless message was received from the Turakina that she was being shelled by an enemy raider in the Tasman. The Minister gave her position when attacked. The Minister stated that steps to locate the raider were taken immediately by the naval and Air Force authorities here, in cooperation with the New Zealand forces, and a search is proceeding. HORSES FROM ENGLAND DERBY WINNER CORONACH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WANGANUI, Saturday Although no certainty exists, it is thought that two horses which have been shipped from England for residents in the Wanganui district may have been in the Turakina which is reported to have been attacked by s raider in the Tasman Sea. The five-year-old horse Golden Eagle, which was being shipped to Mr M. Grogan. Westmere, for stud .purposes, left England in July. About the same time the English Derby winner Coronach was shipped for Mr J. G. Alexander Maxwell.
