FANCY DRESS DANCE

OKAUIA FUNCTION A fancy dress dance organised by the Okauia Patriotic Committee to augment patriotic funds proved very successful. Dance music was supplied by Mr A. Burr. Mesdames W. Marks and E. Ayers gave elocutionary items and songs were rendered by Messrs J. Graham, W. Marks and J. Malone. Mr and Mrs W. Marks judged the costumes, the winners being as follows:—Miss E. Barton, Indian squaw; Mr Graham, negress; Mesdames Cowell and Wooderson, old pioneers. Those present included: —Mesdames E. Ayers, A. Downs, N. Brindle, D. Townsend, L. Malone, J. Graham. Misses T. Rallison. M. Raethel, E. Garland, P. Bush, M. Garland. V. Booth, M. Barton, K. Eccles, A. Burr, E. Booth.
