Top Notch Stellar Cast in Comedy Hit
“Turnabout,” Hal Roach’s new comedy hit to be released shortly, is said to be one of the gayest and sprightliest modern comedies seen in many a moon. It is directed by Hal Roach himself, and its starring cast is headed by Carole Landis, John Hubbard, Adolphe Menjou, Mary Astor, Veree Teasdale, Donald Meek, William Gargan and Franklin Pangborn. “Turnabout” is swift, witty and gay entertainment from the first shot to the final fadeout. It has excitement, suspense, surprise and humour. Its story concerns a young modern couple who complain about their respective lots in life—he is a successful advertising man, she a comely society matron. Their complaints give little god Ram an idea—and he acts upon it. He exchanges their personalities and gives them a chance to find out about the other side of the question. This of course leads to hilarious complications in the advertising and social world.
