SERIOUS FOOD RIOTS
CONDITIONS IN FRANCE WOMEN TRY TO RAID SHIP SEVERAL PEOPLE KILLED (United Press Assn.—Eiec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 5 The correspondent of the Daily Express at Cerbere, on the Spanish frontier, reports that serious food riots are occurring at Lyons, Toulouse and Marseilles, where women marched to the docks and tried to raid a ship carrying food from Algiers. The troops were called out from Lyons and several people are reported to have been killed. The demonstrators included many demobilised soldiers.
