GESTAPO IN AMERICA

GERMAN’S CHARGES AGENTS OF NAZIS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 14, 3.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 13 The United States Attorney’s Office is investigating an allegation by Dr. Schwarz, ex-German Consul in New York, who was ousted by Hitler and is now an American citizen, that a German firm described as a Travel and Foreign Exchange Bureau is ip reality the headquarters of this Gestapo in the United States. The firm’s offices on the floor beneath the German Consulate were the scene of a bomb explosion on June 20.. The company is conducted by von Wimmersperg, wearer of many German decorations, who lives expensively, and Ernest Kopf, who was described by a German witness during an investigation into un-American activities in 1934 as the chief agent of the Nazis in America. A G-man described Dr. Schwarz’s charges as lucid but lurid.
