AWARDS FOR GALLANTRY LATEST CASUALTY LIST NEW ZEALANDER INCLUDED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, April 6 The King has approved two awards for gallantry and devotion to duty in the execution of air operations. They are: To SquadronLeader A. A. de Gruyther a D.F.C. and to Aircraftsman (First-class) Richard Field a D.F.M. Both awards were given for excellent work carried out on convoy escort and reconnaissance patrols over the sea in extremely bad weather conditions. The Air Ministry’s 24th casualty list, says a British official wireless message, comprises eight men killed in action; five wounded or injured in action; 12 missing, 26 killed on active service; four missing and believed killed on active service; 14 wounded or injured on active service; five died of wounds or injuries received on active service; and seven died on active service.

Pilot-Officer C. R. Wylie, of Masterton, New Zealand, has been wounded on active service.
