OTAGO MANCHESTER UNITY (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association* DUNEDIN, Sunday A straight-out donation of £IOOO to the Government for war purpose was made by the Otago District Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows at the half-yearly meeting of deputies yesterday. It was pointed out that if the Allies lost the war the friendly societies would be in dire trouble and the Manchester Unity’s funds of nearly £500,000 would probably be confiscated.
