KIWITAHI NOTES

PRESENTATION DANCE The Kiwitahi Hall was filled to capacity recently, the occasion being a presentation dance organised by the Kiwitahi Sports Club, in honour of Private J. Collingwood, a member of the Second Echelon. Mr F. N. Smith, president of the club, in presenting Private Collingwood with an inscribed wristlet watch on behalf of the residents and members of the Sports Club, remarked upon the splendid services the guest-of-honour had given to the club. He wished him the best of luck and a safe return. Private Collingwood suitably responded. The duties of dance master of ceremonies were carried out by Mr G. Barlow and the music was provided by Mrs M. Robinson and Messrs W. Glascock and G. Heremai. Novelty dances were won by Miss E. Miller and Mr K. Cunningham, and Miss A. Cunningham and Mr W. Bell. Comingr-of-agre Party About 40 guests were present at the home of Mr and Mrs W. A. Rushton, recently, to celebrate the coming of age of their son Jack. The Rev. G. A. Naylor, Morrinsville, acted as master of ceremonies, and a pleasant time was spent in competitions, games and singing. During supper the guest-of-honour cut the handsome birthday <;ake, after which the time-honoured custom of presenting the key was observed with all good wishes for a happy future. Mr J.
