CAR CAPSIZES
TWO PEOPLE INJURED ACCIDENT NEAR TAUPIRI VEHICLE ENDS ON’ ITS ROOF Capsizing near the northern approach to the Taupiri bridge on the Oreat South Road about 11 a.m. today, a tight car driven by Mr A. E. | Sayers, aged 57, retired, of Omuit Avenue, Epsom, Auckland, canie to rest on ttie right-hand side of the road on its roof. Mr Sayers and his 1 (Dtlier, Mrs Annie Sayers. ai- r ed HO, were admitted to the Waikato Hos- > pilaJ. Mr Sayers' wife and another passenger escaped with a shaking. Mr Sayers, who vras taken tu hospital in a St. John ambulance, is suffering from internal and bead injuries, while Mrs Sayers received abrasions and bruises. Mrs Sayers, sen., and ! the other passenger were brought to j Hamilton in a private car. The conj dition of Mr and Mrs Sayers is satisfactory. It was fortunate that the car did ' not catch lire, as Mr Sayers was i soaked with petrol when extricated. The car was little damaged, which was amazing considering the nature ! of the mishap.
