Copyright) (Received August 19, 11.5 a.m.) BONN EXT LL'E (UTAH), Aug. 18 Mr John Cobb drove a measured mile at 352.94 miles an hour, exceeding his own record but falling short of Captain Eyston’s speed of 357.5 miles an hour. (Independent Cable) (Received August 19, 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 18 Sir Malcolm Campbell readied an estimated speed of over 110 miles an hour during 1 lie trials of the motorboat Bluebird 11. oil Collision Lake, in Lancashire. The official timekeepers igave Sir Malcolm's one-way run at 134 miles an hour, beating the old record, but this does not count as a record because tlie average of two runs in opposite directions must be taken.
