Partly lair and partly cloudy weather is indicated to-day and to-morrow, with milder temperatures. Winds from a westerly direction. Scattered rain. The Rainfall Rainfall for 2 4 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .35in. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .sin. Rainfall for August to date 4.2iin. Average rainfall for August 3.961 n. Rainfall for year to date 35.1 till. Average yearly rainfall 46.32in. SPECIAL. FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Waikato-Thaines Valley is as follows: General situation: A depression covering the central Tasman sea is approaching the Dominion. Forecast: Light to moderate, but freshening north-westerly to northerly winds. Weather mainly fair to line at first, but weather gradually becoming unsettled and scattered rain developing. Temperatures milder. Sea slight to moderate, but in--1 creasing.
