SOCIAL AFTERNOON
Mrs J. McLaren and Miss June McLaren were hostesses at an afternoon at their home at Okoroire recently. The rooms were decorated with bowls of red berries and green leaves. Musical items by Mrs McLaren, Miss McLaren and Mrs N. L. Higginson were much enjoyed. A competition was won by Mrs E. Jlarwick. Mrs McLaren received her guests wearing a frock of black cloque moire. Miss McLaren wore navy flowered cotelle. The guests were:—Mesdames If. Brill, John Brown. E. Hardwick, K. Petersen, G. Boucher, E. J. Dickey . Auckland,. Misses Jean Carruth.
