Spring Borders
There’s a clump of golden daffodils Blooming about my way With borders deep of primulas In softest mauve array. The golden lac-henalias On garden edges blow While the dainty little bluebells Beneath the tall trees grow. There’s a drift of pale blue violets Abloom ’neath leaves of green, And waxen buds of hyacinths In garden plots arc seen. For fair Spring is in the garden With her fragrances again, With her hours of golden sunshine And show'rs of silver rain.
