FANCY DRESS BALL
HORSHAM DOWNS FUNCTION The annual fancy dress ball of the Horsham Downs School was held in the Horsham Downs Hall on Thursday night. In spite of the 'lnclement weather there was a good attendance of parents and friends. The children provided the first part of the programme with folk dances, songs and choral speaking. Dance mus.ic was played by Mr W. Whitehead, of Hamilton. The following children were in fancy costumes:—Merle Bluett. Bridesmaid; Nola Bluett, Eastern Lady; Elsie Morris, Witch Doctor; Julie Fulton, Bridesmaid; Lesley White, Coat of Mail; Maureen Bluett, Irish Colleen; Audrey White, a Salad; Dawn Anthony, Jazz Girl; Ruth Hunter, Hawaiian Dancer; Joan Henderson, Lavender Lady; Lindsay White, Mummified Schoolmaster; Terry Whyte, Swagger; Fraser Graham. Sailor; Stanley Dobbs, Cricketer; Malcolm Bluett, Golliwog; Arthur Blake, Coster Boy; Billie Cunningham, Drummer Boy; Bruce Cunningham, Drummer Boy; Pat Linehan.
