Residents of Raglan had a splendid view of the aurora australis in the south-western sky on Monday evening. The display was very vivid, at one time white lines giving a curtain effect.
Infantile Paralysis Two cases of infantile paralysis have been admitted to the Wellington Hospital. The ipatients are boys aged 8 and 7. Though there is slight paralysis In botfl cases, their condition is not considered serious.
Unskilled Labour Influx It is stated that there is an influx of unskilled labour from Australia to the Dominion and the new arrivals are swelling the ranks of the unemployed. I There is apparently an impression | among the men that jobs will be found for them on public works.
