SHEEPOWNERS MEET
DECISION AT OHINEWAI ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT At a meeting at the Ohinewai Hall, convened by Mr E. L. Tucker, of Ohinewai, between 50 and 6u sheepfarmers from surrounding districts listened to an address given by Colonel Noel Adams, president of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation. Colonel Adams, who was introduced bv the chairman, Mr J. owners as a whole, and ffom the Waikato in particular. In answer to a question'the speaker explained that the federation's policy would in no way conflict with that of the Farmers’ Union, but rather would it wish to work harmoniously with the union in matters of mutual concern. Committee Appointed Following the appeal for increased membership, practically all the sheepfarmers joined as members. On Mr Tucker’s suggestion, a committee was appointed to approach sheepfarmers in Central Waikato with the object of forming a large branch, with Hamilton as its centre. The following committee was appointed: —Messrs E. L. Tucker (Ohinewai), Alec McKinnon (Renown), W. A. Murray (Glen Murray). E. B. Elliott (Hoe-o-Tainul). - Messrs E. L. Tucker, Fagan and Jas. Robertson were appointed delegates to the Auckland branch of the federation.
