INTERESTING STAMPS

FRENCH SERIES An interesting series of stamps has been issued in France to honour a number of famous men, and bearing their facsimiles. They are: Jacques Callot, the famous painter; Hector Berlioz, the composer; the author Victor Hugo, and the famous scientist, Louis Pasteur. The stamp shown In the diagram is that which bears the portrait of Victor Hugo. J might add, for those of you who collect stamps that the denominations are: 20c, 40c. 50c and iFr. 50c. There is an additional fee with the purchase of these stamps, which goes to help poor French artists and scientists.
