(Received Aug. 13, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 12. “ There is no doubt there were impurities in the tobacco as a result of floor sweepings,” said the magistrate in fining Philip Lesser, a Limehouse tobacco manufacturer, £3OO for selling tobacco containing foreign substance. Cigarettes takes from his premises contained pieces of coaT, paper, tinfoil, lead, bristles, cardboard, wood and sealing wax.
