STRANGE MISTAKE.
THOUGHT WIFE WAS DEAD. IDENTIFICATION OF BODY. MET LATER BY HUSBAND. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, August 12. A remarkable case is reported of a man meeting his wife after she was thought to be dead. The Rev. V. O’Meara, of Jersey, Channel Islands, identified as that of his wife a body found in Pevensey Bay, Sussex. The coroner was satisfied with the identification and returned a verdict of suicide. Mr O’Meara had the body buried at sea, from the Sussex coast, on Monday. He was out walking at Bexhill a few miles from Pevensey, yesterday when he met his wife.
