Mr Donald Grant, of Hamilton, has been appointed chairman of the Waikato District Rural Intermediate Credit Board.
Messrs *W. Allen (Wellington), E. A. Ramsay (Auckland) and T. A. Kirk (Te Akau) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Dr. Nell McDougall, of Auckland, has been admitted a Fellow of the British Association of Radiologists. He is the first New Zealander to be so honoured.
Mr Gordon Shorty the well-known Wellington pianist and teacher, has been appointed one of the examiners for New South Wales by the Australian Board of Music at this year's external examinations.
Dr. H. O. Askew, agricultural chemist of the Cawthron Institute staff, has left on a visit to Australia for the purpose of getting in touch with research Investigations dealing with mineral deficiencies and soil problems.
Mr P. Kelly, chairman of the management committee, and Mr J. M. Mills, secretary, of the Marist Football Club, left for Wellington last evening to attend the bi-annual conference of the New Zealand Marist Brothers Old Boys Rugby Football Association.
Mr A. R. Harding, of Hamilton, has been appointed to succeed Mr W. T. G. Christie, who recently retired on superannuation, as head of the stock department of Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited, Hamilton. Mr Harding has served as stock agent and auctioneer with the Hamilton branch of the linn since 1918.
