HOURS OF PICTURE THEATRES.
‘ (To the Editor.) l Sim—l desire to suggest to the managemem. or the various picture theatres that a gesture of goodwill and assistance could be carried out by them it they could arrange their programmes so as to permit their enter—tainments cencludlng a little earlier than at present. I would suggest that their patrons, many of whom are country residents. would be amply served and satisfied if the entertainment concluded not later than 10.15 p.m. The regular observance of this time would be a boon to many workers, bus and taxi drivers, restaurant workers and farm employees, etc. I continually come into contact with many from the country districts who belong to organisations which hold their meetings in Hamilton; 011 the nights of these meetings they t'cttth their wives and families in with them. The wife and faintly go to the pictures and the husband attends his meeting. Most of the int‘rting‘s arc m'rr by ten, but Ihr huslmntl has to wait, about. ottcn until close on eleven o'clock before the pictures come out and he can pick up his family. Trust—ing that these suggestions will meet with appro\‘al.—l an). etc.. TEN FIFTEEN. Hamilton, June 15.
