SMITHFIELD AWARDS

WAIKATO CHILLED BEEP. SPECIAL CLASSES AT SHOW. Advioe has been received from Wilson Meats, Ltd., London, of the Smithheld awards for the special chilled beef class for the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company’s (Jup at the Waikato Summer Show. The entries were judged on the hoof at the show, then at Horotiu and finally at Smiihfleld London. The Smithfleld award was as follows: Thomas Bros, (second entry 1; J. C. Potts, 2; Whewell Bros, 3. The placings at Horotiu of the dressed carcases were: H. Windsor, i; J. C. Potts, 2; Thomas Bros, (first entry), 3; Whewell Bros., 4. The class at the show attracted 17 entries and the awards on the hoof were as follows: ii. Windsor, 1, Whewell, 2: J. C, Potts, 3.
