HAMILTON SPORTS OLUI. \’VEEKLY MEETING CONDUCT-ED. The Hamilton Sports Club held its weekly meeting at Steele Park last evening under ideal conditions. Tilding was very fast considering the inop—portune weather for training of late. By the way the members are riding at present and with additional training they will all be ready for the cham—pionships on January 29. This meeting promises to be one of the best ever conducted in Hamilton and the public are well advised not to miss it. The number of competitors last evening was rather disappointing, but was no doubt accounted for by the fact that quite a few are still on hali—‘day, while still more have not yet ‘settled down after the spell. Three races were staged—a half-mile, a mile and 9. boys' race. C. Burr won the first mentioned event with D. Forsyth running a close second. 'l‘. Crawford showed great form in the one-mile by winning the event ivy several lengths of! the back-mark. Perhaps the keenest race on the pro—gramme was the boys‘ race. All four starters were very close at the finish, .1. Rogerson, however, proving he had that little extra by heating by half a wheel F. Davis. who was placed sec»l ond. 1 Results are as follows:
